Frequently Asked Storage Questions
When can I move in?
If a storage unit is available, you may move in at any time by visiting www.storageworldinc.com. All move‑in requirements must be completed and approved before access to the facility is granted.
What type of documentation do I need to provide in order to rent a space?
All you need is a Government issued form of ID (example: a driver’s license, state ID, or passport)
Do I need to sign a long-term lease?
No. We rent on a month‑to‑month basis, with rent due on the 1st of each month.
What about storage insurance?
We offer a protection plan through Storelocal that can be added to your monthly rent. Coverage options are available in the amounts of $2,000, $3,000, or $5,000. You may also wish to contact your homeowners or renters insurance provider to determine whether your stored items are covered under your existing policy.
Does someone have to be in the office to let me through the security gates?
No. At the time of signing your lease, you will be given your own security password code that will allow you access from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., 365 days a year.
How do I make a payment for my storage unit?
You can either pay in person, through the mail, or on our website. You may also sign up to have the payment automatically deducted from your credit card.
What forms of payments do you accept?
Checks, Cash, Money Orders, VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express
Do you sell moving boxes and storage supplies?
Yes, here at Storage World we have moving boxes and all your storage supplies. Stop in at one of our convenient storage facilities to purchase packing and moving supplies to safely store your items.
How do I know how much storage space I will need?
Use our storage unit size calculator to give you an idea of what fits in a particular storage unit.
Can I just stop by to view the storage facility and storage units? Or do I need an appointment?
Stop by anytime between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday – Friday and 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday for a complimentary tour of our facility.
Do I need to bring my own lock?
Yes, the Owner requires that the Occupant use a disc lock or another Owner‑approved lock of high quality that is designed to resist tampering and unauthorized access. Locks and moving supplies can be purchased in the office.
How much notice needs to be given when I move out?
We require a written notice at least 3 days prior to move out.
Are there any items that I am NOT able to store?
Liquids, Explosives, Flammable liquids, Toxic materials and Perishables. Please contact us if you have any questions about a specific item.
Are there any additional fees?
Standard Self Storage does require a one-time administrative fee of $29 which is to be paid at the time of signing. We do not require a security deposit.
What are the hours of operation for your storage facilities?
The office is open Monday – Friday 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m.-4 p.m. We are closed on Sunday. The gate access hours are 6 a.m. – 10 p.m. 7 days a week.

What does a 5x10 storage room look like?
A 5x10 storage unit provides 50 square feet of space, comparable to a walk-in closet, and can hold items such as sofas, mattresses, desks, and bicycles
Can a car fit into a 10x20 storage unit?
Yes, a 10x20 storage unit, offering 200 square feet, can accommodate a standard vehicle, along with additional items like furniture or boxes.
Will a couch fit in a 5x10 storage unit?
